1. Preparations
Material preparation: Make sure you have the required laminated stair nose, glue, screws (if needed), saws, measuring tools, etc.
Stair inspection: Check whether the edge of the stair tread is flat, and if there are unevenness, it needs to be trimmed.
2. Installation steps
Measuring & Cutting:
Use the Measure tool to measure the length of the edge of the stair tread and cut the laminated stair nose to the appropriate length based on the measurement.
Care should be taken to keep the cut flat so that it fits snugly against the edge of the stair treads.
Apply glue:
Apply the glue evenly on the back of the laminated stair nose, taking care to use a moderate amount of glue and avoid too much or too little.
After applying the glue, wait for some time (according to the glue instructions) for the glue to dry slightly to increase the stickiness.
Install the laminated stair nose:
Align the glued laminated stair nose with the edge of the stair tread and gently press it to fit.
To secure it with screws, pre-drill holes in the nose of the laminated stair and use screws to secure it to the stair treads. Be careful not to overtighten the screws so as not to damage the laminated stair nose.
Adjustment & Fixation:
After installation, check that the laminated stair nose fits snugly against the edge of the stair tread, and adjust if there are gaps.
Make sure that the laminated stair nose is installed firmly and there is no shaking.
3. Precautions
Safe operation: During installation, pay attention to safe operation and avoid using overly sharp tools or making dangerous movements.
Follow the instructions: Different brands and models of laminated stair noses may have different installation methods and requirements, so read and follow the product instructions carefully.
Keep it clean: Keep the stair treads and laminated stair nose clean during the installation process to avoid dust and debris affecting the installation quality.
