(1) Uneven, non-vertical panel surfaces and inconsistent joint widths and heights
1. Causes: deviations in the horizontal and vertical alignment of the framework, uneven vertical surfaces, excessive deviations during panel installation, misaligned holes;
2. Prevention and control measures:
(1) Start with the installation of embedded parts and expansion bolts, and operations must be carried out carefully. When installing the framework, use horizontal and vertical guide lines, ensure surface flatness, then check with a theodolite and carry out process acceptance;
(2) Position the panels and framework accurately, and drilling must be precise;
(3) Panel installation must not be done arbitrarily, it must follow the plan and marked positions. Before installation, check the size and shape of the panels, and install only after confirming they are correct.
(2) Joint sealing is not tight, uneven, with bubbles and water leakage.
1. Causes:
(1) When filling the joints, polyethylene foam was not used to back up the panel, so when the sealant was injected with a caulking gun, sufficient pressure was not formed, resulting in poor adhesion to the panel joints and an untight seal;
(2) Operator inexperience: workers are not skilled, the distance between the gun nozzle and the joint during caulking is inconsistent, pressure is uneven, leading to uneven thickness, multiple joints, air inclusion, causing the sealant surface to be uneven, with bubbles and water leakage;
(3) Material issues: the silicone sealant has quality problems.
2. Prevention and Control Measures:
(1) Select good materials and ensure the tools perform well;
(2) Carefully insert the sealing filler, maintaining a consistent distance from the board surface, and keep the depth of the sealant uniform, so that the joints are tight and the seam surface is flat;
(3) The operators should be skilled, hold the sealant gun steadily, maintain a consistent speed and distance, expel air while sealing, and if bubbles appear, pierce them and smooth them out with a trowel to remove the air.
(3) Insecure edge treatment, uneven, not sealed
1. Cause: Construction not carried out according to requirements, installation not meticulous, improper methods.
2. Preventive measures:
(1) Prepare an edge treatment plan before construction, and adopt a reasonable edge treatment plan for different structures and conditions;
(2) Follow strict procedures during installation and grasp the key points.
(4) Surface contamination, dents
1. Cause:
(1) Protective film removed too early, improper protection of finished product;
(2) Improper protection of the finished product during subsequent work, causing impacts on the board surface.
2. Preventive measures:
(1) Do not remove the protective film too early, preferably remove it when dismantling the scaffolding;
(2) Formulate feasible finished product protection measures during work;
(3) Clean and wipe contaminated areas promptly.
