Aluminum alloy scratches, abrasions, and bruises are surface damages caused by aluminum profiles flowing out of die holes and coming into contact with tools, equipment, etc. in subsequent processes. There are several main reasons:
1. Abrasions caused by artificially dragging the profile on the bed;
2. Damage caused by rubbing or extrusion between profiles during transportation;
3. There are debris on the mold cavity or working belt, and the hardness of the mold working belt is low, so that the surface of the working belt is injured and scratches the profile when extrusion;
4. There are hard inclusions in the exposed metal or graphite strips on the discharge track or swing bed, which will cause scratches on the surface of the profile when it comes into contact with the profile.
5. When the fork rod sends the profile from the discharge track to the swing bed, the profile is injured due to the speed being too fast.
Common Solutions:
1. Strengthen the control of the quality of ingots;
2. Reasonably place the profiles in the material frame to avoid friction with each other as much as possible;
3. Improve the quality of mold repair, regularly nitride the mold and strictly implement the nitriding process;
4. Handle it gently during production, and try to avoid dragging or turning the profile at will;
5. Use soft felt to isolate the profile and the assistive device to minimize the contact damage between the profile and the assistive device.
