In China, the recycling rate of aluminum products and aluminum alloys can reach more than 97%, which is almost a completely recyclable raw material. The chemical properties of aluminum alloys are relatively active and relatively easy to react with acids and bases. Once they are corroded or oxidized by strong acids or corroded by strong alkalis, they cannot be recycled, resulting in permanent waste.
However, the chemical nature of aluminum alloys also has certain advantages. For example, aluminum is extremely easy to combine with oxygen in the air to form a hard aluminum oxide protective layer, which prevents the oxygen in the air from further corroding the interior of the metal. Recycling smelting waste aluminum is cheaper than smelting aluminum in processing cost and has low pollution.
The development of modern science and technology has provided technical support for improving the recycling and smelting process of non-ferrous metal materials, making it possible to recycle aluminum scrap with high efficiency and low consumption. In the future, we should actively develop recycling and dismantling technologies for high-efficiency, non-polluting waste aluminum alloys and promote technological upgrading of recycled aluminum alloys.
