What factors can affect the quality of industrial aluminum profiles

Material:

Industrial aluminum profile is a new type of aluminum alloy material formed by heating, extrusion, straightening, aging and surface treatment with aluminum as the main raw material, adding other alloying elements, and the industry mainly represented by 6063-T5. Aluminum profiles are the most widely used, with aluminum content of 97.35-98.35%, other alloying elements content: magnesium 0.49-0.9%, silicon 0.2-0.6%, iron 0.35%, copper, chromium, zinc, titanium 0.1 respectively The content of %, the industrial aluminum profile produced according to this ratio formula, the tensile strength can reach 180MPa, the yield strength can reach 127MPa, and the hardness can reach 62HB. Therefore, the formulation of alloying elements is particularly important in the production of aluminum profiles.

Dimensional tolerances:

Dimensional tolerance refers to the difference between the maximum allowable size and the minimum allowable size. It is a value that allows the size to float up and down. It is normal in the range of this absolute value. If it exceeds this range, it will affect the performance of the aluminum profile. , thus affecting the quality of the aluminum profile. The dimensional tolerances of the 6063-T5 series of industrial aluminum profiles mainly include section width, lateral tolerance, longitudinal linear tolerance and angular tolerance. Understanding the range of dimensional tolerances will help customers calculate the deformation of industrial aluminum profiles during the selection process. The calculation formula of the deformation amount can select the suitable aluminum profile type, and the dimensional tolerance of the aluminum profile that does not meet the national standard can be deviated, which will affect the performance of the industrial aluminum profile.

Surface treatment:

The oxide film on the surface of the extruded aluminum profile is soft and thin, only 0.5-4μm, which is very resistant to corrosion. It must be surface treated and sealed to thicken the oxide film pore encapsulation layer and form other The various colors enhance the corrosion resistance and decorative effect of industrial aluminum profiles. In order to reduce costs, some merchants have made a fuss about the surface treatment. The thickness of the oxide film is only 2-4μm, which is less than the national standard of 10μm. Some even have no oxide film. The produced aluminum profiles are low in price and corrosion resistant. The performance is low and the effect is not achieved at all.
